The 8th Chofu City Fencing Spring Tournament (Hosted by: Chofu City Fencing Association, MMNH Sports Co., Ltd.) will be held on March 20, 2026.

The details are listed below. Please review the tournament guidelines for further information and submit your application by March 2, 2026, with your club or organization compiling the entries.

*Over-age entries are allowed for one category above.
*High school fencers with about one year of experience may enter the “18–39” category.
*If entering both a regular and over-age category, priority will be given to your grade-level
category; the other will be treated as “waitlist.”
You will be notified later whether participation is possible.
*Depending on the number of applications, the 18+ categories may be combined.
*Team events are open to junior high and high school fencers with about one year of
experience.

■Eligibility

Open to all nationalities and places of residence

■Entry Fee

– Individual event: JPY 5,000 per event
– Team event: JPY 13,000 per team
– Sitting foil: JPY 5,000
(JPY2,000 if also entering another category)

■Application Method

Please complete your application via the designated online form by Monday, March 2, 2026.

【Team Event Entry】
– Single or double entries are allowed.
– The tournament office will assign or match players to fill missing weapon categories.

– For single/double entries, apply by Saturday, February 21, 2026.
– Please note that team formation may not always be possible, and entry is not guaranteed.
Apply with this understanding.
– Those applying for single or double entries should submit by Saturday, February 21, 2026.

When applying, please provide your PayPal account information.
The entry fee will be billed to the specified PayPal account.
Entry fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

■Equipment Requirements

– Uniforms and plastrons must be 350N or higher.
– Women must wear a hard chest protector (no need for soft pad cover).
– Masks: 350N acceptable; safety to be checked visually by referees.
– Velcro masks are also allowed.
– Gloves and cuffs may be separate types.
– For safety, 800N plastrons and gloves are recommended

■Weapon Check

– No pre-check; referees will inspect weapons on the piste
– Equipment faults:
– 1st offense: Yellow card
– 2nd and onward: Red card

■Important Notes

[Safety & Insurance]
– All participants and coaches must independently obtain personal liability and accident
insurance
– The organizers bear no responsibility for any injuries or accidents
– Practicing outside the designated area is prohibited and may result in disqualification

Personal information obtained will be used only for tournament operations.
Photos and videos may be taken by organizers and used for:
– Venue display and announcements
– Posting names and results on the tournament/association websites
– Reports and related documents

– Locker rooms in the gymnasium may be used.
– Please follow staff instructions when leaving personal belongings.
– Only athletes and accompanying coaches may enter the competition area.

– Keep your valuables secure.
– Drinks without lids are not allowed in the venue.
