■Category

● Over-age participation may be permitted. However, participation may not be possible depending on
the tournament schedule.
● In the case of a duplicate entry involving an over-age category, priority will be given to the
participant’s regular age category. The over-age entry will initially be accepted as a waiting-list entry.
Once the schedule has been finalized, we will inform participants whether they can compete.
● Categories may be combined depending on the number of entries received.

■Competition Schedule

■Equipment

● Uniforms and protective jackets must be 350N or higher.
● Female participants must wear a hard chest protector. A pad cover is not required.
● 350N masks are permitted, but referees will visually check the masks for safety.
● Velcro-type masks are permitted.
● Gloves and cuffs may be separate-type equipment.
● For safety reasons, the use of an 800N underarm protector and 800N gloves is recommended.

■Weapon Inspection

There will be no advance weapon inspection.
Weapons and equipment will be checked by referees on the piste.
If equipment is found to be defective or does not meet the requirements:
● First offense: Yellow card
● Second and subsequent offenses: Red card

■Competition Format

Preliminary Round: Pool format
Main Round: Direct Elimination
All participants will advance to the main round.

■Eligibility

Participation is open regardless of residence or nationality.

■Entry Fee

JPY 5,000 per event

■Registration

Applications must be submitted through clubs or organizations.

Residents, employees, and students of Chofu City may also apply individually using the same application form.
If you do not receive a confirmation email within three days after submitting your application form, please
contact us.

Bank account information for payment will be provided in the application confirmation email.
Please make the payment under the name of the representative/applicant.
Your entry will be considered complete once payment has been confirmed.

■Important Information

Safety
● All participants and coaches who provide lessons or training must obtain their own personal liability
insurance and accident/injury insurance.
● The organizers assume no responsibility for any injuries, accidents, or other incidents occurring during
matches, practice, or other activities. Participants are responsible for taking all necessary precautions.
● Practicing outside the designated areas may cause injuries or accidents and may disturb other facility
users. If a participant is found practicing outside the designated areas, the Chofu City Fencing
Association reserves the right to disqualify the participant from the competition, regardless of the
reason.
Handling of Personal Information
The Chofu City Fencing Association will use personal information collected through the registration process
only for purposes related to the operation of this competition.
The organizers may also take photographs and videos at the venue and use them for the following purposes:
● Announcements and displays at the venue on the day of the competition
● Publication of participant names and competition results on the Chofu City Fencing Association
website and the competition website
● Competition reports and other related materials
If you have any specific requests regarding the use of photographs or personal information, please indicate them
in the Remarks section of the application form.

■Other Information

● The changing rooms at the sports center are available for use.
● Please follow the instructions provided by the tournament staff regarding where to store your
belongings.
● Only participants and accompanying coaches are permitted to enter the competition area.
● Other organizations and facility users may also be present at the sports center. Please behave
appropriately and use the facilities with consideration for others.
● Participants are responsible for the management of their own valuables.
● Moving around the facility while carrying beverages without a lid is prohibited.
